Wood Street Coffee started their journey in the summer of 2013, with a weekly pop up at Wood Street Market in Walthamstow, East London which inspired their name. Gareth met Tim Choi in 2015 and they started roasting together in 2018. Their synergy created 'REALLY GOOD COFFEE' and so by 2020 their roastery relocated to a bigger, brighter industrial space in Saffron Walden, Essex to meet growing production demands.
Wood Street Coffee roasters ethically source their coffee through a partnership of importers and working directly with farmers. They only source single origin coffees which are then roasted in small batches to bring out the best from each process, varietal and region.
We love the passion that the Wood Street team have for coffee and we are excited to feature them on Day 7 of Advent with their Brazillian coffee. A Natural Brazilian coffee grown at 930 MASL, in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil which is the largest producer of coffee. The Natural processing method imparts a lot of fruit on the coffee and you will notice this coffee bursts with a citrus acidity followed by a lingering chocolatey and nutty aftertaste.
