No.13 Coffee is a tale of marriage between two passionate coffee lovers who made their dream a reality. Realising that it was hard to buy to coffee that had been freshly roasted, Tim and Maria purchased a one-kilo roaster and set about sourcing small batches of green beans.
With their passion to learn, they began making friends with small artisan roasters who shared their beliefs that something had to change. To truly appreciate the origins of coffee, Tim and Maria visited the coffee growing regions and learnt the ethos of how and where different types of coffee were grown, as well as the intricate farming and drying processes it is subject to before we're lucky enough to import it.
After a number of years roasting, iterating and learning, Tim and Maria decided the time was right to found No.13. They upgraded to a 5kg roaster, picked their speciality green beans and got started.
Their passion for coffee shines through the coffee their produce and we're super excited to have No.13. in the club with two varieties:
Mundo Novo - Mundo Novo means ‘New World’ and is a hybrid between Bourbon and Typica varieties found in the Sul De Minas region of Brazil. This coffee is very smooth with hints of Citrus, Milk Chocolate and Hazelnut
Sopresso - A strong blend with notes of dark chocolate, nuts, fruit and citrusy marmalade. A blend of Arabica speciality coffees from India and DR Congo, complimented with Robusta from a smallholder in Tanzania which adds body and results in a thick crema
