Pilgrim's Coffee
Pilgrim's Coffee Roaster is nestled within a walled garden on Holy Island off the northeast coast of England. Originally set up in a small yurt in the garden, Andrew began roasting coffee in 2014 and simply aimed to supply the cafe with delicious, high quality and sustainably sourced coffee.
Though those early days were great fun, by 2018 they soon needed a larger space to keep up with demand and re-purposed an old shipping container to create the current home of the Roastery.
Andrew still heads up operations at the roastery and ensures all of the beans are of the highest quality arabica. In February 2021, Pilgrim's coffee recently upgraded to an energy efficient Loring roaster which enables them to bring out the distinctive characteristics of the beans and produce top quality coffee, every time.
Pilgrim's coffee believe it is extremely important and take great pride in sourcing fairly traded and sustainable coffee beans. They will always ensure that everyone that handles our coffee beans is well rewarded for their hard work - certification or not!
We're excited to be featuring Pilgrim's Coffee Roasters in the club with their Single Origin coffee:
Single Origin Grown at 1980 masl in Sidama, Ethiopia, this variety was selected from wild plants in the Metu-Bishari forest in the Illuababora zone in Western Ethiopia. It has been hand roasted to bring out notes of Jasmine, Black Tea and Lemon.
